Amazing writing

Check out this fabulous poem by our Sam!
I love the way it creates a picture in my mind when I read it!

Morning Meadows

The sky is dark and
dew has been set.
The calves and their mothers are sleeping.
The trees are not swaying because
there is no
breeze.
The buttercups rise early in the morning,
spreading their buttery, glistening
petals
creating a
 colourful morning scene.
The tall grass
blanketing the
farm animals in
the morning meadows.

  1. What a wonderful poem - I love the way you have described the buttercups.

Where did you get your inspiration from?

  2. Hi Miss Lyall, Sam got her inspiration from staying at her grandmother's house and getting up early in the morning. We all love the poem. Such an amazing writer for being only 10 years old!
